Financial Controller¶
About the Role¶
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller with a proven track record in financial management. In this role you will lead the finance function to support the company’s strategic objectives and growth plans, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards. Key responsibilities include preparing accurate and timely financial reports, managing the financial reporting process, and leading the preparation of statutory accounts. The role also involves overseeing the treasury function, ensuring adherence to regulatory ratios, and effective management of the bank’s assets and liabilities. About You¶
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within banking or financial services
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with strong post-qualification experience and sound knowledge of financial reporting standards / regulatory requirements
- Strong experience in leading and managing year-end audit processes
- Expertise in managing work related to Basel II and Basel III regulatory frameworks, and liaising with stakeholders / authorities accordingly
- Demonstrable leadership and people management skills, together with a track record of building and inspiring high-performing teams
- High level of integrity and ability to discreetly handle confidential information
- Strong communication skills, capable of interpreting financial data and processes for non-financial stakeholders
- Highly proficient with related technology, including experience in optimising financial systems, processes, and controls, with advanced Excel skills
- Sound critical thinking and the commercial acumen to apply insights for improving both team and business performance
- Demonstrable interest, or experience, in Web3 technology / digital currencies is a plus, coding knowledge also a plus
- A proactive, “roll up your sleeves” attitude, aligning with the company’s values and collaborative approach.
